Swiss International Hotels & Resorts to operate Sagana Resort, Nairobi

FEP Holdings Limited has signed a management contract with international hospitality group Swiss International Hotels & Resorts to operate its new property in Sagana, which will be named Swiss International Sagana Resort & Conference Centre.

Located along the Nairobi-Nyeri Highway, Sagana Resort is expected to increase leisure and conference tourism in the Mt Kenya circuit. The hotel is nearing its completion and is scheduled to open before the end of the year.

Construction of the property by FEP Holdings began in 2014 and is nearing completion. The hotel is scheduled to open before the end of this year.

The Swiss International Sagana Resort & Conference Centre will provide 146 rooms, offer modern conferencing facilities with a capacity of up to 800 people, two board rooms and two other meeting rooms with a combined capacity of 80 people.

“We are excited to have found the right partner in Swiss International which has a rich experience in the hospitality sector. We are now working together to ensure the Resort is completed in time to open before this Christmas,” said FEP Holdings Chairman, Mr James Kaguchia.

Swiss International Hotels & Resorts has over thirty years of experience in the hospitality industry, operating in 15 countries across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and South Asia.

“We are delighted to be in Kenya, it is one of the markets we have had our eyes on and we want to thank our partners FEP for their trust in us. In 2016, Swiss International also signed a development and management agreement Mlima Holiday Homes for the 180 room & suites Swiss International Golf, Spa & Conference Resort Mount Kenya. The final development is currently underway. We are looking to open other properties in the country and have several in the pipeline, we believe in this market and have the vision to become one of the top five hospitality and leisure group in Africa,” he added.
